Explore Your Denture Options

Finding your perfect dentures means evaluating what’s important to you. It also means paying attention to your needs. How concerned are you about your dentures staying in place? Is your jawbone health a priority? Are you missing all of the teeth in your mouth or a few next to each other? Keep these questions in mind as you explore the different options that are available.

We offer the following types of dentures at our practice:

  • Denture options infographicFull dentures: These dentures are the most well-known type. They are used to replace an entire arch of missing teeth. An upper denture has a plate that covers the roof of the mouth. A lower denture is shaped like the letter U and rests on the gum tissue.

  • Partial dentures: Partial dentures might be a good option if you are missing several teeth in a row. They can blend in well with the remaining healthy teeth in your mouth. A removable partial denture attaches to those teeth and helps prevent them from shifting.

  • Implant-supported dentures: While similar to traditional full dentures in some aspects, implant-supported dentures are securely anchored in place by two or more dental implants. The added stability will help you eat, talk, and smile with more confidence. Implants not only help to replace missing teeth, but they keep the jawbone from shrinking. If missing teeth are replaced with a bridge or dentures without dental implants, the jawbone will shrink over time. This can cause the lower face to look collapsed.
