Let’s Get You Out of Pain
A sudden toothache or cracked crown shouldn’t leave you waiting in pain. Our team keeps time open every day for emergencies so you can get relief fast. Call us right away and we’ll help you feel better, find the cause, and stop it from getting worse.
What To Do Right Now
Here are a few ways to protect your tooth and ease discomfort while you make your way to us:
- If You Have a Severe Toothache: Rinse your mouth with warm salt water and take an over-the-counter pain reliever. Avoid placing aspirin directly on your gums, as it can irritate the tissue.
- If You’ve Knocked Out a Tooth: Pick it up by the crown (the top part, not the root). Gently rinse with milk or saline. If you can, place it back in the socket and hold it with light pressure. Otherwise, store it in milk until you reach our office. Time is critical, aim to see us within an hour.
- If You’ve Broken or Cracked a Tooth: Rinse with warm water and use a cold compress on your cheek to limit swelling. Bring any broken pieces with you to your appointment.
- If You’ve Lost a Filling or Crown: Cover the area with sugar-free gum or dental wax and avoid chewing on that side. This helps protect your tooth until we can replace the restoration.
- If You Suspect an Abscess: Rinse gently with mild salt water several times a day. Never try to drain it yourself, as this can make things worse and spread infection.
How We Can Help You
Not every emergency looks the same, but if something feels off, it’s worth calling. You may need same-day care if you’ve noticed any of the following:
- A severe toothache that keeps you up at night
- A cracked or broken tooth after biting something hard
- A lost crown, bridge, or filling, leaving your tooth exposed
- A knocked-out tooth that needs fast attention
- A broken denture or night guard that’s uncomfortable or unusable
- A painful abscess or swelling near your gums
Even small issues can escalate quickly if ignored. The sooner you’re seen, the easier your recovery will be.

Here’s What Happens Next
When you visit us for an emergency, our first goal is to help you feel comfortable again. We’ll begin by examining the affected area and, if needed, take quick digital X-rays to see what’s happening beneath the surface. Once we’ve identified the cause, we’ll walk you through your options and begin treatment right away whenever possible.
Sometimes that means prescribing antibiotics to control infection. Other times, it’s completing a same-day repair or scheduling follow-up care. Whatever the situation, we’ll make sure you leave with relief, clarity, and a clear plan forward.
