Question

At our cosmetic dentistry practice, we use the latest technology to achieve healthy, beautiful smiles for our patients. With high-definition 3D scans, our dentists can plan your dental implant procedure or other dental treatment more precisely and efficiently than ever before.

What is i-CAT 3D Imaging?

The i-CAT® is an imaging system allowing our dentists to get highly detailed, 3D images of your dental anatomy. Like 2D digital x-rays, this system enables our dentists to efficiently and effectively plan:

The clear, detailed digital images produced provide optimal visualization of your facial structures. It also lets our dentists see the image from any angle and at any distance, so a complete and in-depth plan can be created.

The area to be scanned is customized to your procedure. Depending on your specific general or cosmetic dentistry treatment, our dentists can use the i-CAT to scan a single dental arch, your lower or upper jaw, or any other specific area that needs to be scanned.

Benefits of i-CAT Imaging

Just a few of the advantages of 3D scans include:

  • Completed in about 8.9 seconds
  • Produces detailed, high-definition 3D images
  • Digital images can be shared quickly and easily
  • Minimal exposure

When we look at the images, we will be able to see the exact position of each tooth. This technology also lets us see the relationship between your teeth, nerves and bones. Our dentists can use the images to accurately diagnose your dental needs and plan an effective treatment plan.

The scan is simple and fast and you are never enclosed.. Next, the images are sent to the computer and you and the dentist can view the high-definition 3D images together in a matter of minutes.

Using the images for reference, you and the dentist can communicate clearly about your dental needs so you can choose the right treatment for you. These images let our dentists create the most effective treatment plan that is carefully tailored to you.
